A Dream I Almost Had

"SHE IS THE POEM" The first moment that I saw this girl From the same church as I Her subtle cuteness caught my eyes and her smile made me believe in the beauty of the world I told myself “I want to see that smile again” But this time I want it to be different I want to be its reason She is the color, I am the art She is the water, I am the plant She is the film, I am the camera Lastly, She is the morning, afternoon, and night, I am the day (she completes me)  

     "In Ava's Head"           There is a girl named Ava, she has an illness called schizophrenia which is a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Ava lives in one of the oldest villages in Palawan far from the city, the Motonui village. Ava belongs to tribe Batak (The Batak tribe is a group of indigenous people who live in the rugged interiors of the northeast portion of the province of Palawan). She has the desire to live in the city and travel the beauty of the whole Palawan. It was June 25th, 1989. The drive of Ava became more intense, she went on Mt Mantalingajan to pray for the nature spirit, babaylan, which they believed their blessings came from. As she was praying, her illness started to strike. Ava hallucinates that she is living in the city of Puerto Princesa with her tribe, during her hallucination she fulfilled her long-time desire.
